A Discourse of Pricks

Collaborative performance with Mathew Parkin at v22 Ilderton as part of their Young London 2018 programme. This performance included a provisional edit of video footage, a reading and a live sound work.

Taking its title from a crude translation of Antonio Vignali’s 16th century dialogue on sexuality, A Discourse of Pricks, our aim with this event was to loosely think about listening being the dominate orientating device of cruising. In the soundtrack the sexual dynamics of Robert Smithson and Nancy Holt’s ‘Swap’ are mixed with synthetic and recorded natural sounds building to a piano house climax.
